Five bailed and one charged over disorder at Sunderland mosque protest
FIVE people have been bailed following disorder at Saturday’s protest against the creation of a mosque in Sunderland.
Far-right and anti-fascist groups were both present at the protest in St Mark’s Road, Millfield.
A total of six people were arrested by police.
Five of them have been bailed by Northumbria Police until a later date pending further inquiries.
Graham Eddy, 44, of Raby Road, in Newton Hall, Durham, has been charged with disorderly conduct and is due to appear at Sunderland Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 14.
